MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2 IS BACK!

Arcade1Up officially announced Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 arcade cabinets and a #FREEDMVC2 campaign. After the announcement, the response from players around the world to Arcade1Up’s announcement was universally ecstatic. After years of campaigning for the re-release of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and the #FREEMVC2 movement, the efforts of the die-hard fans of the iconic game have finally paid off. #FREEDMVC2 hashtag is now being used to celebrate the revival of the game on Arcade1Up arcade cabinets.

John Diamonon, Vice President of Arcade1Up, acknowledged in an interview with Eventhubs that Maximillian Dood’s #FREEMVC2 campaign to revive Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 had caught a lot of momentum and that Marvel and Capcom were made aware of the requests. He suspects that everyone at both companies was very pleased with the outcome, with this cabinet being able to introduce the classic fighting game to a generation of new fighting game enthusiasts.

Arcade1Up’s Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cabinet has officially been available for pre-order since September and is expected to ship sometime this October. According to the company, the re-release will feature both online multiplayer and leaderboard support. In addition to MvC2, the cabinet will also include the original Marvel vs. Capcom (previously released as part of Arcade1Up’s retro cabinet lineup), Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Children of the Atom, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, and Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems.
